Die Another Day review

While shopping at my local CeX, I noticed something odd on the shelves: the 0-9 section of the 50p DVD aisle was littered with copies of Die Another Day. You know, the one with the invisible car? Yeah, well one kid was pointing at all the identical copies (there was 11, and probably the other Bond film there was Casino Royale 2006) and I thought to myself "why not buy a copy? Then I can have a laugh at how the Bond franchise has sunk, with all those cheesy continuity nods and stuff." I also bought two more expensive movies (Monty Python & The Holy Grail, 2001: A Space Odyssey) to show my mum, but unless I do a masterpiece special, I won't review these because they're beyond 50p.

Here's the cover, including the spine and back.
The cover for the booklet.

The leaflet for a chance to win a portable DVD player. Closed on 31 August 2003.
Get it?

Film: It's about our favourite superspy investigating the connection between a North Korean terrorist and a diamond mogul, who is building a space weapon. The effects are overblown, to the point I felt like I was watching a cheesy 90s action flick, and many things are ridiculous. An invisible Aston Martin, really? Plus the continuity nods are in your face. 2/5

Bonus features: Lots of fun. A guide for many gadgets, the trailers, a commentary, the lot. 4/5
